- Educational standards
Agenda Communication is committed to policies and management practices which are designed to maintain high professional standards in the marketing and delivery of all of its training and research services. We are also committed to policies which safeguard the interests and welfare of all clients.
We are committed to the development and maintenance of learning environments which are conducive the success of trainees. It is our policy to deliver only those training programs for which we have appropriately qualified and experienced personnel, and accredited courses which fall within our scope of registration.
Further, we are committed to providing, as a minimum standard, adequate training facilities and to use appropriate training methods and materials.
- Marketing
Agenda Communication undertake to market their vocational, education and training services with integrity, accuracy and professionalism, avoiding vague or misleading statements. In the provision of information, we give clear commitment to avoid knowingly drawing false or misleading comparisons with any other training provider or course.
All marketing and advertising will be carried out in accordance with the national protocol for the marketing of recognised training.
- Training information
Agenda Communication is committed to providing accurate, relevant and up-to-date information prior to commencement of any training program. An Information for Participants sheet will be provided to all trainees and will cover, as a minimum,:
- Our Code of Practice;
- Grievance / Appeal Policy and Procedure information
- Training support services
And, where applicable:
- Arrangements for the recognition of prior learning / recognition of current competence;
- Admissions procedures and criteria
- A copy of the refund policy;
- Total costs / fees to trainees;
- Certification to be issued to the trainee on completion or partial completion of all accredited courses;
- Competencies to be achieved by trainees;
- Assessment procedures;
- Recognition of Qualifications Issued by Other RTOs
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Agenda Communication recognises the AQF qualifications and Statements of attainment issued by any other RTO.
- Access and Equity Policy Agenda Communication has a clear Access and Equity Policy, a full copy of which is available on request from your trainer. The policy covers the requirements on clients, employers and Agenda staff with regard to Access and Equity principles. In short, the principles are designed to remove all barriers to participation in training and to promote an atmosphere of tolerance and inclusion. The central principle is to eradicate any decisions or actions that are taken by any party towards another person based on that person’s age, race, colour, religion, gender, language background, disability or sexual orientation.
The policy also outlines what action will be taken in response to any such decision or action.
- Trainee Recruitment
Agenda Communication has a policy by which recruitment of trainees will be conducted at all times in an ethical and responsible manner and consistent with the requirements of the curriculum. We also ensure that trainee selection decisions comply with current Equal Opportunity legislation.
Appropriately qualified and experienced staff will assess the extent to which the applicant is likely to achieve the stated competency standards and outcomes of the course, based on the applicant’s qualifications and proficiencies.
- Refunds
Agenda Communication will safeguard all fees paid by trainees. We have a refund policy which is fair and equitable and about which fee-paying trainees are informed in writing before formal enrolment on any training program is completed.
- Privacy and confidentiality Agenda Communication has a Policy on managing and ensuring the integrity of student records. We also commit to maintaining the privacy of personal contact details of all trainees and clients.
- Trainee grievances / appeals
Agenda Communication has a fair and equitable process for dealing with trainee grievances / appeals. In the event that grievances cannot be resolved internally, providers will advise trainees of the appropriate legal body where they can seek further assistance.
- Student Welfare / guidance services Agenda Communication is committed to providing training support and guidance services to ensure the greatest level of success of its trainees. These services will be provided by the relevant trainer, or, where more appropriate, by the Director of Agenda Communication.
- Guarantee
Agenda Communication is committed to honouring all guarantees outlined in this Code of Practice
- International students
Agenda Communication is not involved in the training of international students. However, should this situation arise, we agree to be bound by the provisions of the Education Services for Overseas Students (Registration of Providers Financial Regulations) Act 1991.
- Sanctions
Agenda Communication is bound by the obligations as described in this Code of Practice and / or any supporting regulatory requirements. As a Registered Training Organisation, we understand and accept that, should we fail to meet these obligations or requirements, we may, where applicable, have our registration as a training provider withdrawn.
